What are Entry Points?

Entry Points are locations throughout the community that offer CHAT assessments and referrals. Entry Points can be physical locations, virtual, or both. The same CHAT assessment and referral will be completed no matter which Entry Point location you choose.

There are six Entry Points across the city of Thunder Bay.

  • Alpha Court logo

    Alpha Court

    Offers case management services for individuals who are struggling with mental health or addictions and wish to work on recovery goals with a community support worker. Rent subsidies are available for clients who are also in need of housing.

    Beendigen

    Beendigen provides FREE support and services to ensure women and children have a safe environment to live in, free from violence. We are a confidential, safe and supportive place where women can explore their options.

  • Canadian mental health association logo

    CMHA

    Provides case management and rent supplements to individuals with mental health concerns to access safe and affordable housing.

    CHAT INTAKE - Monday through Friday: 8:30 to 5:30 and Saturday and Sunday: 10am-3pm

    Elizabeth Fry Society

    A vibrant charitable organization that supports and advocates for women in prison, women transitioning back into the community, and women at risk of criminalization.

  • John Howard Society logo

    John Howard Society

    Supports people who are at risk or involved in the criminal justice system through service, reform, education and advocacy. Housing search and support services available.

    Ontario Native Women’s Association

    The Nihdawin program assists Indigenous women in Thunder Bay that are at risk of homelessness, and those experiencing homelessness. Nihdawin provides culturally grounded services, geared to individual needs, to empower community members to reach attainable goals.
