What are Entry Points?
Entry Points are locations throughout the community that offer CHAT assessments and referrals. Entry Points can be physical locations, virtual, or both. The same CHAT assessment and referral will be completed no matter which Entry Point location you choose.
Our Entry Point hours have expanded.
There are seven Entry Points across the city of Thunder Bay.

Alpha Court
Offers case management services for individuals who are struggling with mental health or addictions and wish to work on recovery goals with a community support worker. Rent subsidies are available for clients who are also in need of housing.

Elevate NWO
Elevate staff and leadership believe that individuals experiencing chronic homelessness can be successfully housed. With respect and dignity, Elevate coordinates support for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness by ensuring that amenities, services, and health/harm reduction supports are delivered to sleeping rough locations.

Elizabeth Fry Society
A vibrant charitable organization that supports and advocates for women in prison, women transitioning back into the community, and women at risk of criminalization.

John Howard Society
Supports people who are at risk or involved in the criminal justice system through service, reform, education and advocacy. Housing search and support services available.
CHAT INTAKE - Tuesday’s 10am to 1pm (newly added time)
Friday’s 4pm to 6pm
Saturday’s 2:30pm to 5:30pm

Ontario Native Women’s Association
The Nihdawin program assists Indigenous women in Thunder Bay that are at risk of homelessness, and those experiencing homelessness. Nihdawin provides culturally grounded services, geared to individual needs, to empower community members to reach attainable goals.

A collaborative group of local comprehensive and specialized information and referral providers who have agreed to coordinate information and referral service delivery to provide seamless access to information about community resources via the three digit number assigned for this purpose, 211.
